Playful Mother Wood Sculpture

Wayan Rendah celebrates the spontaneous relationship shared between a mother and her child, capturing the two in suar wood as they play together. Working with local Balinese artisans, he carves the sculpture by hand, giving it a finish that accentuates the wood’s natural grain.
